Muye24ki is the name of martial arts of 'Muyedobotongji' which is a military martial art book series of Chosun Kingdom. It started to train troops during the Korea-Japan war-Imjinwaeran. It teaches 24 techniques using various weapons and equipment such as sword, spear, stick and so on - Jangchang (長槍) long spear Jukjangchang(竹長槍) long bamboo spear Gichang (旗槍) spear with flag Dangpa (당파) spear with three spearheads like a fork Gichang(騎槍) spear of cavalry * this is different from (3) * Nangseon (낭선) bamboo spear with poisonous branchs and thorns Ssangsudo(雙手刀) long sword for two hands -* a chinise general 'Cheok GyeGwang' made this form against japanise pirate * Yedo (銳刀) sword of 'Chosun - a name of ancient Korea' * there are 28 short forms and 1 long form * Waegeom(倭劍) japanese sword* a Korean Musa, 'Kim Chegeon' brought these 4 forms from Japan * Kyojeon (交戰) sword sparring * 'Kim Chegeon' who brought 'Waegeom' made this sparring form. 'Kyojeon' is different from 'Waegeom' * Jedokgeom (提督劍) sword which saved general * a chinese, 'Nak SangJi' saved his chinese general 'Lee YeoSong' with this sword skill * Bonkukgeom (本國劍) sword of 'Shilla - a name of ancient Korea' * the origin of this form is a sword dance of a 'Hwarang' which is the young warrir of 'Shilla [shila]' kingdom, who called 'Hwang Chang Rang' * Ssanggeom(雙劍) two twin swords Masangssanggeom(馬上雙劍) two twin swords of cavalry Woldo(月刀) moon blade sword with long stick Masangwoldo(馬上月刀) moon blade sword with long stick of cavalry Hyeobdo(挾刀) another type of moon blade sword with long stick, which is longer and heavier than 'Woldo' Deungpae(藤牌) shield with sword or spear Kwonbeob(拳法) fighting skills without weapon. 'kwonbeob' means 'law of fist', but it has more than fist. it contains punching, kicking, and wrestling.
